Four bakeries and doughnut shops, five locations, inside Wilmington's city limits: downtown, Racine Drive, Mayfaire, Military Cutoff and Kerr Avenue.
Last checked Oct. 11, 2026. Refreshed every three months.
Wilmington’s bakeries are spread out instead of clustered: a doughnut shop is downtown on Princess Street with a second near UNCW on Racine Drive, a long-running bake shop is in University Square on South Kerr Avenue, and a bakery and a Bundt cake shop are near Mayfaire on Parker Farm Drive and Military Cutoff Road.
How we made this list. The places come from OpenStreetMap records inside Wilmington’s city limits, the data that also feeds our local directory, plus places in the Downtown Wilmington dining directory and the bakeries’ own location pages. We checked each one against its own website on Oct. 11, 2026, and checked each address against the city limits with the U.S. Census Bureau’s address lookup. Ice cream and dessert shops are on the ice cream list. The list is alphabetical. It is not a ranking or a recommendation, and nobody paid to be on it. Run one of these places?
